his accuracy in referring to established practices, merely show his epistle is not inspired

into a fit about it but it was too late to get them back from him, so I wonder if that

Anthony Hort. in these it is stated that Hort as well as Wescott rejected the idea of
the infallibility Genesis 1 through 3 and Hort praised Darwin and denied the divinity
of Christ.

my remarks: clearly, you don't need to harp on some occult spiritualist investigation group membership (which might have infected them and they in their pride
accepted whatever bullshit they thought originated with themselves), never mind the source
of the ideas whether their own flesh, the world or the devil, these were their ideas, and
that should discredit their entire efforts and choices regarding the manuscript type they
preferred.
Alexandrian type quotes have been found in the early fathers, but that doesn't matter,
because the specific material they used didn't change doctrine, and they were pushing
correct doctrine, but the overall picture is not good, Alexandria was home as was all
of north Africa to various heretical tendencies, and part of the reason for the development
of the creed, and repeated ecumenical councils to deal with one or another or several
heresies, was precisely that such people rarely established themselves in separate "churches"
but attempted to infect all the churches with their false doctrines such didn't announce

The provenance on ancient documents especially out of north Africa is unknown. A heretic

is God in the flesh or not, but if it is taken as an indiciative verse to guide our
faith in Christ in terms of His identity then it MIGHT influence some badly if he only
said "Jesus" and not "Lord." There are other places where "Lord" is left out. in immediate
or larger context it doesn't matter. Treated as a proof text, to some it might.

Nothing in the Bible disproves Roman Catholic doctrine except the filioque, papal supremacy, Marian
excess focus and purgatory as a separate place from hell. The proof texts for the latter used
by RC actually in context are about the Last Judgement.

A BIG issue is Genesis 3:15. Masoretic and Septuagint and Samaritan agree, that the
promise is that the woman's SEED will crush the serpent's head but Jerome mistranslated
it into Latin as that the woman would crush the serpent's head. This is the backbone of such
things as statues and pictures of Mary with her foot on a snake, and a lot of Marian dogma.

What if you dug into anthropological and archaeological literature and ancient history and not so ancient history of peoples of Asia, Africa, India, the New World, records of tribal legends and so forth, written records, and found out that war, even genocide, slavery mishandling of the environment, repression of women, abuse of various kinds, everything you blame on Christian civilization was in fact standard throughout non Judaeo non Christian history and actually goes against the grain of the Genesis dominion thing which is about tending and keeping the garden not trashing it?

Wouldn't that kind of change the picture?

An-Occult-Attack-on-Christianity is an important read, and lie no. 18 is

that you need to open your chakras so "Spirit" can enter. This is NOT the Holy Spirit, \Who is YHWH the Third Person of YHWH The Holy Trinity, this is some creature who is a deceiver

and evil. The Holy Spirit needs no chakra work to be in you, only

acceptance of Jesus Christ of The Bible as your Lord (and therefore your

savior).

Ha-satan means the adversary, the adversary of God and also of mankind, who

he hates as God's images on earth, and because God loves us. It is the same

being as lucifer, and lucifer bears a false mind scattering, deluding

light. True light lets you see things better, false light clouds and blurs

and deceives. Some demons (many angels fell with the devil) are more out in

the open, others more seductive and deceiving and if one has overcome vices

and mastered virtues they then take you down by the sin of PRIDE.

Robert Pye the author continues, "the same cunning trick is also used by

the New Age movement, to damage one's aura, to create a tear or a fault

line that the dark force [or false light force] can use to gain access.

This is often done under the guise of co-called spiritual healing, such as

that practiced by Reiki."

What I particularly like about this article, is that it does not deny the

existence of the energy body, but warns that the New Age teachings on what

is healthy or not for it are WRONG.

All the New Age at core is Hindu. This in turn is based on the assumption

that the physical universe is evil at worst, a delusion at best, and to be

escaped as soon as possible. Fast track Laya Yoga, which would permanently

reverse the kundalini flow back up to the head, reversing the process of

creation and throwing you into parasamadhi, a trance you never come out of,

is just a labor intensive form of suicide.

The Bible mentions the energy body, in Ecclesiastes, where it discusses the

breakdown process at death. "the wheel is broken" is interesting in this

regard, because "chakra" is Sanskrit for "wheel." someone who could see

stuff saw something that most resembled a wheel, whether because of

roundness with or without spokes is not clear, whether because of shape

only or rotation is also not clear.

But it exists. And any system that looks to undo creation, is not going to

have the right bias to tell you how your energy body should be functioning.

A classic example is the constant statement, that a golden aura is a sign

of great spiritual enlightenment, but that is the false light. lucifer is

latin for Hebrew helal, the golden glitter of a king's robe. Bingo! I

thought when I read that - from a masonic apologist online at that - this

is the thing I was running into, always when checkable on people who were

involved with demons, and one of them I found out later was a rapist, with

a nasty arrogant attitude.

Another was not nearly so bad, but he had gotten involved in some kind of

traditional folk witchcraft involving pacts, and used to witness for the

devil in the interest of giving him equal time or at least do so to me,

because I was witnessing for Jesus. this fellow and I generally got

along well other than that, though I heard a man describe him as "he will

turn on you in a second."

Roman Catholic iconography didn't help much. Orthodox is so obviously

artificial and with specific meaning, that it wouldn't be nearly the trap

RC was, because RC realistic looking people with such "auras" look like you

might expect to see this on a holy human. But everyone I saw it on was

unholy as hell. New Agers draw on these auras in art to excuse or support

their positions when luring Christians and westerners.

An Orthodox elder or monk once wrote that people with experience in this

stuff, reported that the devil often shows as or with light that is yellow

or gold sometimes tinged with red. What I noticed was the same thing,

though in a cocaine soaked environment it was more like a white cloud but

always a mind scattering and blurring, blinding influence.

True light lets you see clearly. (There is a kind of clarity that is

demonic but that is another matter.)

The usual Christian anti New Age take is to deny the existence of the

energy or etheric body altogether, and this is a mistake. The real problem

is what the New Age disciplines do to it.

The reason I say this is because her New Age "misty waffle" ( hat tip to a Christian friend of mine for that one ) has already attracted the criticism of Christian philosopher and theologian William Lane Craig who has criticized Armstrong's "anti-realist" views about statements concerning God - particularly her assertion that "'God' is merely a symbol that points beyond itself to an indescribable transcendence."

Craig argues that Armstrong's view of God as ineffable is "self-refuting" and "logically incoherent". Indeed, if Armstrong's claims were true, it would be hard to understand how divine revelation could be possible.

But that is just the point, gnostics reject divine revelation and prefer their own opinions "private revelations," and "misty waffle."

Not satisfied with simply leaving the convent when she realized she had no true vocation as a Roman Catholic Religious sister, Armstrong apparently found it necessary to justify her choice (No one is forced to remain a nun. Vows can be dispensed.) by writing a memoir (Through the Narrow Gate)which is mildly redolent of the more lurid bogus convent tales of Maria Monk.

Armstrong also claims to have gone from a conservative to a more "liberal" and "mystical" Christian faith called "religion-generic mysticism" similar to that advocated by Aldous Huxley in his book The Perennial Philosophy.
Armstrong's worldview links the virtue of compassion with belief in God - but without caring too much about the details of how that God is conceived.

She is also a fellow of the Jesus Seminar - a group of scholars and laypeople which attempts to investigate the historical foundations of Christianity. The Jesus Seminar once tried to peddle the theory that Jesus wasn't the Author of the Lord's Prayer.....which leads me to suspect that they invent more history than they investigate.

Armstrong's assertion that God is "merely a symbol that points beyond itself to an indescribable transcendence" is but one more variation of the syncretistic, esoteric, pagan, gnostic "Perennial Philosophy" according to which there exists an "esoteric transcendent unity" of all religions even if they outwardly contradict one another. According to the Perennial Philosophy, there is no SINGLE true religion. Moreover, the idea of a Perennial Philosophy is central to the New Age Movement.

Regarding the Spokane situation, the problem with "tolerance" as it all too frequently pertains to the Islamic community is that it tends to be one way. It doesn't address the intolerance and persecution of other religions on the part of certain radical followers of Islam. Referring to Armstrong's organization Councilman Mike Fagan mentioned this very point.

Councilman Mike Fagan, who voted against the charter, said he opposed the group that wrote the charter because it supports “solidarity with and acceptance of Muslims,” but does not mention persecution of other religious groups.

“What I don’t understand or agree with at this point is this organization spotlighting and singling out the issue of Islamophobia,” Fagan said. “If this organization was everything that they claim to be on their web, I would’ve expected some mention of the persecution of Christians and other religions worldwide to be just as prominent.”

some people there accused me of being new age because I think there is life on Mars. an argument as usual ensued. The people in particular are hostile to anything resembling Roman Catholicism i.e., Eastern Orthodoxy. (I do not claim to present the official Orthodox position on aliens, there aren't many of us who deal with the matter and some have the opinion this is a demonic phenomenon. Women have turned up pregnant some should not have pregnant. At three months, all of a sudden no baby, no indication of miscarriage (no blood or anything), and it is dismissed as an hysterical (false) pregnancy except.....some were ultra sounded and showed a baby. In one case it was very strange looking baby. An investigator took the ultrasound results, without saying what this was about, to medical experts who couldn't make any sense of what they were looking at. That baby of course was taken in an abduction after the previous abduction where she was impregnated. And brought to term in an artificial womb. Apparently the embryo stage needs a regular womb but can manage after a certain point in an artificial one.

People who have seen these report they are suspended in a green nutrient gel.

Back in the 1970s, some doctor saved an extreme premature infant, by placing it on a gel instead of a normal mattress the incubators usually use. I lost the article. The baby survived. The technique was unusual then and I don't hear of it now, if anyone has heard, please tell me. WHERE DID HE GET THE IDEA? maybe he was an abductee also.

These people are up to something and it is NOT going to be good for us. I recommend reading Dr. David Jacobs (of Temple University) books Secret Life, and The Threat and I think the third title is something like They Walk Among Us. you can get the gist of all this on youtube where there are interviews with him.
